Joel Clarke / Chief Information Officer
Joel Clarke can be considered a master in his field of work. He has pioneered technology and ICT networking from a young age. With an early start in partnership with his family, he was a pioneer in the technology wholesale business prior to the year 2000 when the boom occurred.
Leading a team of professionals, Joel established and built a national data and voice network providing cutting-edge IP solutions and services that paved the way for competitive L2 & L3 wholesale network access and the rapid growth of VISPs across Australia.
In 2007 this innovative approach lead to the birth of Fiber to the Home (FTTH) in Australia by designing the methodologies and technologies to deploy a true gigabit passive optical network (GPON) at one of Australian landmark residential destinations Sanctuary Cove. This project was one of the first of its kind to offer true fiber to the home superfast IP capabilities while telecommunication providers at the time were still investing in copper networks. However this forward thinking strategy, as well as much of the methodologies designed, was later adopted by the Australian Federal Government with the birth on NBNCo™ in 2009.
Joel has a passion and drive which has been recognised by other leaders in the industry. His knowledge and capabilities to design networks and core infrastructure has seen his services be adopted by leading developers and organisations in the Australian marketplace.
Joel’s diverse profile includes founding and managing successful public and private organisations within the IT&T and property development industries. These capabilities have made the appointment of Joel as Chief Information Officer of Fiber Corporation Pty Ltd a key strategy in our approach to lead the market and assuring Fiber Corporation continues to path the way for IT&T innovation in Australia.
